There are entrances to the Buena Vista Building from Buena Vista St and from the center of the campus.<\/p>\n

Parking Info<\/h3>\n

General parking will be available in\u00a0 two lots:
\n1) the Cattleman Square parking lot<\/a> on Commerce St (Google Maps will sometimes give inaccurate directions to this lot. You can only get in to this lot from Commerce St, not Buena Vista)\u00a0 This lot is closest to the Buena Vista Theater,\u00a0 where WordCamp San Antonio 2020 will take place. A new crosswalk has been added which will allow safe crossing of Buena Vista St.<\/p>\n

2) Level B2 of the parking garage on the Interstate 35\/10 Access Rd. (Pecos La Trinidad St.) <\/a><\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Both lots have handicap parking. No permits are required for either location.<\/p>\n

About UTSA<\/h2>\n

UTSA has three campuses located in San Antonio: the Downtown Campus, the Main Campus, and the Hemisfair Campus.<\/p>\n

The 18-acre Downtown Campus is located in the heart of San Antonio just west of IH-35 at the intersection of W. Cesar E. Chavez Blvd. and Frio Street, and is easily accessible by car or bus. It is also within walking distance of many cultural attractions, restaurants and businesses that make San Antonio a top destination in Texas.<\/p>\n

The UTSA Downtown Campus is home to the College of Architecture, Construction and Planning, the College of Public Policy and the College of Education and Human Development departments of Counseling, Educational Psychology, and Educational Leadership and Policy Studies.<\/p>\n

The campus offers seven undergraduate degrees, nine master\u2019s degrees, three doctoral degrees, and seven graduate certificates. More than one-third of UTSA\u2019s graduate students take classes at the Downtown Campus.<\/p>\n

One of the defining elements of the campus is its connection to the community and its role as a center for urban issues and research.<\/p>\n

The Carnegie Foundation has recognized UTSA for its community engagement efforts. Housed at the UTSA Downtown Campus, the Office of the Vice President for Community Services oversees many of the university\u2019s public service, extension, outreach and community education programs.

The UTSA Downtown Campus includes a 19,000 square-foot library, computer lab, professional quality theater, art gallery, campus bookstore, student center, fitness center, sport court, dining facilities, health and counseling services, student disability services, testing services, tutoring and writing support and more.<\/p>\n

Public Transportation<\/h3>\n

Students, employees and visitors may utilize San Antonio’s public transportation system – VIA Metropolitan Transit<\/a> – to get to and from the campus. Several major bus routes serve the UTSA Downtown Campus community, including Routes 93 and 94, which allow students to travel back and forth between the Main and Downtown Campuses.<\/p>\n
